The minute hand will be due south ( on the 6 ) and the hour hand will be half way between the numbers 2 and 3.

Angle between 2 adjacent numbers = 360 / 12 = 30 degrees . Half of this = 15 degrees.

So angle when time is 2:30 = 3 1/2 ' five minute ' intervals = 3*30 + 15

= 105 degrees (answer).
