Divide the list of numbers in half.
Since there are 9 numbers (odd number), divide like this :

14, 18, 20, 21 25 32, 42, 46, 48

Find the median of the third one.
(46 + 42)/2 = 44

So the answer is C. 44
Hope this helped!

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

When number of terms are odd the quartiles are the terms

Qi=i* (n+1)/(4)\ th\ term

Here we have to calculate the third quartile i.e. i=3

and number of terms are 9

i.e. n=9

Q3=3* (n+1)/(4)\ th\ term

Q3=7.5 th term

7 th term=42

8 th term=46

7.5 th term is the mean of 7 th and 8 th term

= (42+46)/2

= 44

Hence, Correct option is:

C. 44
