The formula for finding the kinetic energy of an object is:
KE = 0.5MV^2,
Where:
M= Mass
V = Speed
From the information given above,
M = 21 kg
V = 3 m/s
KE = 0.5 * 21 * 9 = 94.5
Therefore, the canoe's kinetic energy is 94.5 J
