You must apply the Pythagorean Theorem to solve the problem shown in the picture attached to the problem,as below:
a^2=b^2+c^2
Where a is the hypotenuse and b and c are the other sides of the triangle.
Therefore, you have
c=√(a^2-b^2)
c=8
Therefore, the answer is 8
