Hercules was born as a demi-god, his mother being a mortal named Alcmene and his father Zeus. Hercules was best known for his "Superhuman" strength, he is also known as one of the best known heroes. Hercules never actually was made into a god (unlike Dionysus), just a very well known hero, but many people do believe (or mix up) that Hercules is a god.
