Find the number of real number solutions for the equation. x^2-13x+42=0

Factor it:
(x-6)(x-7)=
x^2-7x-6x+42

Steps to factoring:
Find all numbers(as pairs) divisible by 42:
(1,42)(2,21)(3,14)(6,7)
Then find a pair that can, when using addition or subtraction get 13.
6 and 7 does it. Now, since its a -13, it has to be x-6-7=-13, so both sides should be subtraction. And x in the equation is just x, since there aren't any coefficients in front of it.
