9/16=1/2b(3/4)
Divide both sides by 3/4
1/4=1\2b
Multiply both sides by 2

Area (A) = base (b) · height (h)
9/16 = b · (3/4)
Multiply both sides by 4/3 to isolate b
(4/3)(9/16) = b
3/4 = b
Answer: base of the triangle is 3/4 ft
