2^4 = (x - 2)^(2/3) Multiply the powers on both sides by 3/2
2^(4*3/2) = (x - 2)^ [(2/3)*(3/2)]
2^6 = (x - 2)^1
2^6 = (x - 2)
but 2^6 = 64
64 = (x - 2) Remove the brackets.
64 = x - 2 Add 2 to both sides.
66 = x
