uh, i think this one is "two people", even though a 16 inch pizza is, in my opinion, more than enough. sorry if incorrect.

The number of people it feeds depends on the area of the pizza.
We must find the area of an 8-inch pizza and the area of a 16-inch pizza.
A = pi*r^2
8-inch pizza:
diameter = 8 inchesradius = 4 inches
A = pi * (4 in)^2 = 16pi in^2
16-inch pizza:
diameter = 16 inchesradius = 8 inches
A = pi * (8 in)^2 = 64pi in^2
An 8-inch pizza has an area of 16pi in^2.
A 16-inch pizza has an area of 64pi in^2.
How many times greater is the area of the 16-inch pizza than the area of the 8-inch pizza?
ratio = (64pi in^2)/(16pi in^2) = 64/16 = 4
A 16-inch pizza has 4 times the area of an 8-inch pizza.
Since an 8-inch pizza feeds one person, a 16-inch pizza feeds 4 people.
