The fourth event is dependent. Not replacing draws changes the probability of drawing a certain number or thing.

Answer:

Two or more events are said to be Dependent if occurence of one is dependent on the occurence of other.

For example: In a bag there are three different colored balls each being 5 in number.Drawing three balls one by one without replacement from the bag is a dependent event.

Out of the given options following are example of dependent events.

1. Rolling a die three times

When you roll a die three times , each roll is independent of other. So, it is an example of Independent event.

2. Spinning a spinner two times

When you Spin a Spinner two times , each roll is independent of other. So, it is an example of Independent event.

3.Choosing two numbered slips from a hat with replacement

As you are replacing the numbered slips from the hat,it will not alter the total possible Outcome. So, it is an example of Independent event.

4. Choosing two socks from a drawer of black and white socks without replacement

Drawing Socks from the drawer and then not replacing the socks after each event will affect the total Possible outcome. So,each draw will become dependent on another.

it is an example of Dependent event.

Option 4: Choosing two socks from a drawer of black and white socks without replacement , is an example of dependent event.
