Some particles or molecules are too large to be actively transported by carrier proteins so they use active transport processes to move these macro-molecules into or out of the cell. In addition, active transport processes has two types of vesicle transport namely endocytosis and exocytosis, They both require energy to facilitate the process.

The answer is through facilitated diffusion. It is then called as the transport of substances in a biological membrane from a higher concentration to a lower concentration area though carrier proteins. Hope this is the right answer and would be of help.
