P(first is a boy) = 6/12 = 1/2
P(second is a girl) = 6/11
P(first boy then a girl) = 1/2 * 6/11 = 6/22 = 3/11
by a similar process P( girl then a boy) = 3/11
So the required probability = 3/11 + 3/11 = 6/11 Answer
