In a kitchen there are three containers that can hold different quantities of water, as shown in the figure below:

It is given in the question that, there are three containers in the kitchen that can hold different quantities of water .

The first container holds (x-1)liters, the second container holds x liters, and the third container holds (x+1) liters .

Therefore the three containers hold in all is


x-1+x+x+1 = 3x liters

Correct option is A .
