The reaction between NaOH and HCl takes place as shown by the equation;
NaOH(aq) + 2HCl(aq) = NaCl(aq) + H2O(l)
The moles of NaOH that reacted will be given;
= 1.1/40 = 0.0275 Moles
The mole ratio is 1 : 2
Therefore; the number of moles of HCl will be;
= 0.0275 moles × 2 = 0.055 moles
The molarity or concentration of HCl will be;
0.055/ 0.444 = 0.1239 M
Therefore, the concentration of HCl is 0.124 M
