22. Medieval scientific reasoning had to be done in a way acceptable by the Church. So it cannot be openly against the bible teaching. There was no such restriction during the Scientific Revolution. The reasoning could be more advanced and further developed from that of the medieval time.
23. Founders of the US were influenced by ideas from the Enlightenment and it showed in the way our Constitution and government was set up. An example was the Bills of Rights which protect freedom of speech, religion and other basic human rights.

The scientific revolution removed the supernatural from the investigation of the nature, asking however and why one thing happened and forward natural answers, not supernatural ones. This method worked and therefore investigations carried on, and science became a tool for understanding the globe, and hence the universe.
