Write an equation in point-slope form for the line through the given point with the given slope. ( 4, - 6 ); m = 3/5

y - 4 + 3/5 ( x + 6 )
y + 6 = 3/5 x - 4
y + 6 = 3/5 ( x - 4 )
y - 6 = 3/5 ( x + 4 )

Answer: y+6 = 3/5 (x-4)

Explanation:

from the queation, m= 3/5 x1 =4 y1=-6

from the equation of a straight line

y - y1 = m ( x - x1)

y - (-6) = 3/5 (x-4)

y+6 = 3/5 (x-4)
