CB = 1
AO = .5
OB = 1.5

You can find this by determining the distances based on total percentage of the line. AB is 100% of the line. CB = 50%, AO = 25% and OB = 75%. Then multiply those percentages by the total length.

Answer:

CB =1, AO=0.5 and OB=1.5

Explanation:

Given: Point C is the midpoint of segment AB and point O is the midpoint of segment AC

To Find: Find CB, AO, OB, if AB = 2 cm.

Solution:

In line segment AB,

C is the midpoint of AB, therefore

\text{AC}=\text{BC}

also,

\text{AC}=\text{BC}=(1)/(2)\text{AB}

in line Segement AC,

O is the mid point of AC, therefore

\text{AO}=\text{CO}

also,

\text{AO}=\text{CO}=(1)/(2)\text{AC}

Now,

\text{AB}=2

\text{BC}=(1)/(2)AB

\text{BC}=(1)/(2)*2

\text{BC}=1=\text{AC}

also,

\text{AO}=\text{CO}=(1)/(2)\text{AC}

\text{AO}=\text{CO}=(1)/(2)*1

\text{AO}=\text{CO}=0.5

\text{OB}=\text{BC}+\text{OC}

\text{OB}=1.5

Therefore in given line segment
\text{CB}=1,
\text{AO}=0.5 and
\text{OB}=1.5
