The protests of 1968 consisted of a series of protests all over the world. A good part of the protests were done by students and workers. Although there were many protests for civil liberties, against racism, against nuclear weapons and some other things, most of the protests were mainly about the Vietnam War.

So the answer is: "Protests over Vietnam War"

The year of 1968 was a very traumatic one to the history of America, and one of the things that has divide the nation was the Protests over Vietnam. At the time, President LBJ signed an authorization to increase the number of troops on the ground, which led to a number of protests to the war, and it has gotten violent between the antiwar protesters and the police.
