Which is closest to the volume of a cylinder with a height of 11 inches and a circumference if 8 1/2 inches

Hello!

First we have to find the radius of the base

To do this we use the equation


r = (C)/(2 \pi )

r is radius
C is circunferce

Put in what you know


r = (8.5)/(2 \pi )

r ≈ 1.35

Now we use the equation to find the volume of a cylinder which is


V = \pi r^(2) h

V is volume
r is radius
h is height

Put in the values you know


V = \pi 1.35^(2) * 11

V ≈ 62.98

The answer is about 62.98
