Option C would be correct.

Percolation is the process of liquid slowly going through a filter. For instance, just like grinded coffee beans are poured in a filter to make your hot drink, percolation means the same exact thing.

In fact, the root word in percolation is percolare meaning "to strain/go through".

Hope this helps!

Percolation refers to the flow of liquid as it passes through a filter, in this case, the soil, as it reaches the aquifer.
