For this case, the area is given by:
A = root ((s) * (s-a) * (s-b) * (s-c))
Since the triangle is equilateral then:
a = b = c = 16
On the other hand,
s = (a + b + c) / 2
s = (16 + 16 + 16) / 2
S = 24
Substituting values:
A = root ((24) * (24-16) * (24-16) * (24-16))
A = 110.8512517
Rounding off we have:
A = 111
Answer:
the area of the pennant is:
A.111
