Given that QO is the radius and PQ is tangent to circle O, then ΔPQO is a right triangle. Hence the value of x will be obtained as follows:
Sum of angles in a triangle is equal to 180°. Thus
x+17+90=180
x+107=180
thus
x=180-107
x=73°

Answer: x=73°
