5 students used 1/8 each
5 · 1/8 = 5/8
Subtract 5/8 from 2 3/4 to get your answer
First, make it the same denominator: 8
2 3/4 = 2 6/8
2 6/8 - 5/8 = 2 1/8
There is about 2 yarn left. Exact amount left: 2 1/8
Hope this helps
:)
