Hi there!

-Natural selection is a mechanism (or involved/a part) of evolution.

- Natural selection results in a change in the traits of people/indivduals in a population over the course of generations. Darwin proposed that through the process of natural selection, the physical or behavioral traits of organisms lead to increased survival or reproduction.

- This happens in a particular environment and becomes common within their population, while less favorable traits are lost.

- The changes building up and accumulating within populations via natural selection can lead to the development of new species.

Additional help (that helped me get 10/10 on this same quiz) was Quizlet. Just look up Chapter 11 Learning Guide for natural selection.

Hope this helps! Have a good day! :)
