An advantage the American colonists had during the revolutionary war was having a desire to win, fighting for their own cause, they had militia with fighting styles of hiding behind rocks and trees, and they knew their land, shortcuts, directions.

The British was fighting because they had to, America was fighting for freedom. but the big advantage is America was fighting on their own land so they knew the terrain and everything
