A ticket to the park costs $23 for a group of 50 more there is a 16% discount. the school saved 828 with the discount. how many tickets did the school buy.

First you divide 828 by 16 to find what 1% of what they paid is
1% = 51.75
Then multiply that by 100, which is 5,175.
Then divide 5,175 by 23 dollars per person to get...

225 tickets.
