A bag has 4 yellow, 6 red, 2 green, and 8 purple marbles. What is the probability of picking a red marble, replacing it, and then picking a purple marble?

Total:20

That means all fractions will be out of 20

Red: 6 → 6/20
Purple: 8 → 8/20

Add:

8/20 + 6/20 = 14/20

14/20 = 7/10

The probability is 7/10
