Role taking
Is a sociological theory in which the acquisition of role-taking involves a process that implies placing oneself in the social perspective of others. This leads the subject to the consolidation of the basic understanding in the relationship I-other.
It is necessary to differentiate three aspects:
-Role-taking perceptive or ability to situate oneself in the visual perspective of
others;
-Role-taking conceptual or ability to be placed in the cognitive perspective of
another to impute knowledge, intentions, attitudes, thoughts,
etc;
-Role-taking affective or ability to be placed in the emotional perspective of
another to impute feelings, emotional reactions, etc.
