I believe that
the phenotypes of the F1 progeny will all be gray
.
Gene linkage is the tendency of DNA sequences that are close together on a chromosome such that they are inherited together during the process of meiosis phase of sexual reproduction. In Drosophila the eye color and body color is sex linked.
