What is the slope of the line whose equation is -3x+y=12

The equation for slope-intercept form is

mx+y=b in which m represents the slope.

In this equation the slope is -3 which means that to get to the next point in the line you have to rise -3 and run 1 which also means go down 3 units and go right 1 unit

3x is the answer as the opposite of -3 in front of x is 3
