Katie wants to make ball-and-stick models of the four macromolecules. She has colored balls for each of the elements in these molecules, including the following.

red: hydrogen
black: carbon
purple: oxygen
green: nitrogen

In which macromolecule will she use the black, red, and purple balls in a ratio of 1:2:1?

The right answer is carbohydrates molecules.

Carbohydrates are the main energy nutrients. They also take the name "sugar" or "carbohydrate".

A carbohydrate is an organic molecule, that is to say comprising carbon, oxygen and hydrogen, more or less complex and soluble in water.

The raw formula is: CnH2nOn.

as we see here hydrogen always takes a figure that doubles that of carbon or oxygen, so it fits the ration 1: 2: 1.
