You have to multiply the price of the bottles of water by how many there are and then subtract that from the total she paid. Once you've done that you can divide the remaining total by 8, the pounds of meat, which is $2.80

5 bottles -----> .90 each
5 x .90 = $4.50
Total for the bottles only: $4.50
26.90 - 4.50 = 22.40
8 pounds of meat = $22.60
1 pound of meat = $2.80
