This problem seems to be incomplete but I have encountered and solved this problem before. To complete, it was looking for the formula of h, or the hours worked

Given:

P = 0.7 (rh + b)
Let:

P = take home pay
r = rate (dollars per hour)
h = number of hours worked
b = bonus

Required:

h = ?

Sol'n:

P = 0.7 (rh + b)

P = 0.7* r* h + 0.7b

P - 0.7b = 0.7rh

(P - 0.7b) / 0.7r = h (this is the answer)
