Because we are dealing with area, we have to square the difference of the 2 polygons.40 / 15 = 2.6666666667 2.6666666667^2 = 7.1111111111

So, the 40 yard polygon has 7.1111111111times the area of the 15 yard polygon.

Answer: 64:9

Explanation:

The polygons here have a scale factor of 40:15=8:3 and is simplified to 8/3. Their areas will be 8/3 squared or 64/9.
