Is it possible to factor #y= 3x^2-2x-1 #? If so, what are the factors?

y = 3x² - 2x - 1

y = 3x² - 3x + x - 1

y = 3x(x - 1) + 1(x - 1)

y = (3x + 1)(x - 1)
