The parietal lobe area in the cerebral cortex plays an important role in registering spatial location and motor control.
The parietal lobe is part of the cerebral cortex in the brain and it is positioned above the occipital lobe and behind the frontal lobe. Its function is to integrate sensory information from the skin, from the proprioceptors (navigation), from the mechanoreceptors (touch). Some areas of the parietal lobe are important in language processing and in the spatial sense.

The parietal lobe area in the cerebral cortex plays an important role in registering spatial location and motor control. Frontal lobes are involved in the voluntary movement, thinking, personality, memory, emotion, sustained attention, and intetionality or purpose. Occipital lobes function in vision while the temporal lobes have an active role in hearing, language processing, and memory.
