Total prices equation
4X+6Y=4.8(50)
Total number of jars equation
X+Y=50
Y=50-X
4X+6(50-X)=4.8(50)
4X+300-6X=240
-2X=240-300
-2X=-60
X=(-60)/(-2)
X=30
Y=50-X
Y=50-30
Y=20
Making 30 jars of nuts worth 4 per jar
and 20 jars of nuts worth 6 per jar.
Hope this helps.
