Generally, more than 0.18 ounce of alcohol (or equivalent to around 3 glasses of wine or 3 bottle of beer) would mean you have surpassed 0.08 blood alcohol level of being considered as legally drunk in the United States – which means that you’re probably not going to pass a field sobriety test if a police gave one to you. However, women and men process alcohol differently, where men requires more alcohol to reach the same amount of blood alcohol level as a woman does, for example, when she drinks two glasses of wine. Age, race, weight, and other characteristics also play a huge part on whether a person would be significantly impaired cognitively and physically after having several glasses of alcoholic drinks.
