the correct question is
John mixed 3/4 liter of yellow paint with 1 1/4 liters of red paint to make 2 liters of orange paint. • He needed more orange paint. • To make a new batch of orange paint, he used exactly 1 liter of red paint. Using the same ratio, how many liters of yellow paint should John use to make the new batch of orange paint?

we know that
yellow paint---> 3/4 liters
red paint-----> 1 1/4 liters-----> (1*4+1)/4-----> 5/4 liters
ratio=yellow paint/red paint-----> (3/4)/(5/4)---> 3/5

if he used exactly 1 liter of red paint
so
3/5=x/1------> x=3/5 liters of yellow paint

the answer is
3/5 liters of yellow paint
