Answer:

Skin helps in regulating body temperature by using sweat glands and arrector pili muscles. Sweat glands moisturize the skin, which cools the skin down. Arrector pili muscles contract, which allows for the body to heat up.

The skin is an important body organ that acts as a thermostat to help in regulating body temperature first through the blood vessels which dilate to enable heat loss and contract in order to retain heat. For exam[le while out in the cold, the skin makes you shiver as a way of retaining heat to keep you warm, and when its too hot the vessels dilate and you sweat to keep you cold.
