4(2x-4)^2 - 3
4(4x^2 - 2(4)(2x) + 16) - 3
4(4x^2 -16x + 16) - 3
16x^2 - 32x + 32 - 3
16x^2 - 32x + 29
16(1)^2 - 32(1) + 29
