In acceptance stage of dying, the person who is dying builds up a feeling of peace; an acknowledgment of one's destiny; and, much of the time, a craving to be allowed to sit unbothered. In this stage, emotions and physical agony might be for all intents and purposes missing. Kübler-Ross sees this phase as the finish of the diminishing battle, the last resting stage before death.
