Given that P(x,y) is a point on a unit circle, then:
opposite=y
adjacent=x
but
cot θ=1/tan θ
and
tan θ=opposite/adjacent
then
tan θ=y/x
hence
cot θ=1/(y/x)=x/y

Answer: C] x/y
