Here the given Triangle is a right Triangle...
Thus, we can apply Trigonometry here :-

tan 48° = x/7

1.2 = x/7

x = 1.2 × 7

x = 8.4

Hence,
Option [ B ] - 8.4 is Correct

It's a trig question. You have to figure out a relationship between x , 7 and 48 degrees. The thing that helps the most is knowing which function on your calculator will produce the answer.

Step One
Write the relationship between x 7 and 48 degrees.

Tangent(A) = opposite side divided by the adjacent side.
Let A = 48 degrees
Opposite side = x
Adjacent side = 7
Tan(48) = 1.1106

Tangent(A) = x / 7
Tan(48) = x / 7
1.1106 = x / 7 Multiply both sides by 7
7* 1.1006 = x
x = 7.774

Answer x = 7.774 <<<<<
