we know that
if
(ax + b)(cx - d) = 0
then
(ax + b)= 0-----> ax=-b------> x=-b/a
and
(cx - d) = 0-----> cx=d------> x=d/c
therefore
the answer is the option
C. -\frac{b}{a}
