How could non-toxic alternatives to pesticidal control contribute to biodiversity?

For the answer to the question above, I believe those non-toxic alternatives to pesticidal help the environment a lot. One good example of these is the Japanese. Instead of spraying some pesticide to the field which the plants absorbed and may be dangerous to human consumption. Instead, the Japanese farmers release some wild ducks in the field. Then the wild ducks eat the pests and this is mutually beneficial both for the ducks and the farmers.
Non- toxic alternative benefits both the environment and us humans.
