Samuel helps his brother paint walls during his summer vacation. he charges $10 for the first room and $5 for each addition room (x) he paints. which equation could samuel use to find out many rooms he would have to paint to make $50 at one house?

Here's the inequality for the painting of a house:
5x + 10
Basically to find the rooms he has to paint we use this equation:
5x + 10 = 50
(Remember that 10 still represents a room)
Isolate x:
5x = 40
x = 8
8 + 1 = 9
He will have to paint 9 rooms
