Inverse proportion: y = k/x

Givens: 5 = k/12. Then k = 60, and so y = 60/x.

Now, if x = 120, y = 60/120 = 1/2 (answer)

Answer:

y=
(1)/(2) or 0.5

Explanation:

We know that
y=kx

Where x and y are variables and k is the constant.

Inversely proportion is given by :
y=(k)/(x)

Now first we will find the value of 'k'

for x=12 as y=5

5=(k)/(12)

k=60

Now we have to find what is the value of y when x=120

y=(60)/(x)

putting x = 120;

y=(60)/(120) =
(1)/(2) or 0.5
