So, it formed the right triangle PQO.

Now use the Pythagorean Theorem :

(OQ)² = ( PQ)² + (OP)².

Plug the values PQ = 12, OP =5 units , OQ = x .

(x)² = ( 12)² + (5)².

(x)² = 144 + 25 .

(x)² = 169

By taking the square root .

x = 13 .

Therefore, x = 13 units .
