slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
slope = (10+2)/(-9-0)
slope = -12/9
slope = -4/3

the slope is the change in Y over the change in x
change in y = -2 - 10 = -12
change in x = 0- -9 = 9
slope = -12/9 which reduces to
-4/3
